Jeff Johnson has received numerous awards including the Florida Governor's Screenwriting Award, a grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities, the John D. Bencich Playwriting Award, and the Charles Hosmer Morse Foundation Award for Poetry. Recipient of two Fulbright teaching assignments, Mr. Johnson has taught in England, Denmark, Lithuania, and Hungary, has written for several international publications, and has conducted extensive research on post-Soviet Lithuanian and Hungarian theatre. He has recent articles in Slavic and East European Performance, Western European Stages, The Journal of American Drama, and American Drama. His plays have been produced in Orlando, Tampa, New York City, Denmark, and England, and he has been a guest director and featured American playwright at Arden School of Theatre in Manchester, England. He currently teaches philosophy, creative writing, and literature at Brevard Community College in Melbourne, Florida.
